As K-State's Faculty Collaborative Pianist, I am available for many of the music department's on campus needs.Below are the items and procedures for these services.
1.Please check your preferred date with me when scheduling your recital.
2.Turn in your accompaniment parts ASAP.(At least five weeks is appreciated, if possible.)
3.Contact me to schedule rehearsals.(The number of rehearsals is flexible and dependent on the needs of the performers.)
Undergraduate and Graduate Degree Recitals (Enrolled in Music 501, 502, or Graduate Recital)
1.Students must reserve a recital date and acquire a signature from me on their recital form by September 8th for Fall 2017 Recitals, or by December 15th for Spring 2018 Recitals.(I am unavailable to accompany student recitals on Fridays, Saturdays, and the last full week of classes each semester.)
2.Students will need to turn in their accompaniments at least five weeks before their recital.
3.Students will need to contact me three weeks before their recital to schedule up to three rehearsals.
4.Failure to meet any of the above requirements or deadlines will result in my NOT accompanying the student on their recital.
Divisional and General Student Recitals
1.I am available for Wind and Percussion Divisionals, Voice Divisionals,and General Student Recitals.
2.Any student performing on a Wind and Percussion Divisional or General Student Recital will need to turn in their accompaniment one full week in advance of the recital.They are also responsible for contacting me to schedule one rehearsal.
3.Students performing on Voice Divisional Recitals do not need to turn in music or schedule a rehearsal with me, but they may choose to schedule a time to run through their piece if they would like.
1.Studio teachers will inform their students if they will be accompanied by me.
2.Students will be responsible for turning in their accompaniment by the posted deadline date.
3.A sign up sheet will be posted on my door shortly before the last week of classes.Students will sign up for one rehearsal.
4.To accommodate juries, jury rehearsals, and jury preparation, I am unavailable for performances during the last two weeks of each semester.
1.I am available for the Honors Recital and the preliminary rounds of the competition for each division.
2.Organizers of each event will need to reserve preliminary competition dates with me.
3.Students will need to turn in scores at least two weeks before they compete.
4.Students will also need to contact me at least one week before they compete to set up one rehearsal.Students who advance in the competition may schedule an additional rehearsal for each subsequent round in which they compete.
Opera Scenes Workshop
I accompany rehearsals and performances for the Opera Scenes Workshop Class, which meets Mondays-Thursdays from 3:30-5:20 pm during the Fall Semester.
*While Guest Artist Recitals, Masterclasses, Hale Library Concert Series Performances, Young People's Concerts, Off Campus Performances, etc. are not part of my required duties, I may be willing to participate in these performances as my schedule allows.Please contact me with requests and/or questions in regard to availability and procedure.
